Arsenal Off the Mark with Marquinhos Signing

Arsenal have made their first signing of the pre-season transfer window.

The Gunners have won the race for the signature of Brazilian winger Marquinhos, enticing the Brazilian with a £3m deal.

The 19-year-old has agreed to a 5-year contract, keeping the winger at the Emirates until 2027.

The winger has contributed 7 goals contributions (4G 3A) in 42 total appearances for Sao Paulo FC, both starting and off the bench in a range of positions across the forward line.

Edu and Arteta will be hoping that the winger can develop and claim similar glory to his now Arsenal counterpart, Gabriel Martinelli, who signed from Ituano for £7.1m in the 2019/20 window.

Whilst this signing gets them off the mark, Arteta and Edu still continue in their search for a new number 9.
