First of all, just wanted to say that the last post (click here) got 100+ views. Never thought I’d reach triple digits and I’m pretty stoked so I just wanted to write this message to say thank you all for reading my posts.

It has been rumoured for a while that Hector Bellerin is likely to leave Arsenal after a 10-year stint at the club. Currently being valued at around £20m, he has had many clubs enquiring about his signature, one of which is Inter Milan.

Here are some possible replacements if Bellerin was to leave the club.

Max Aarons:

There’s much to love about this guy. He fits the attacking prototype that Arteta is looking for in a full back. We have seen time and time again how prolific Kieran Tierney is on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball – you can expect the same from Aarons. He has proven at Norwich that he is more than capable of joining the attack whilst also being very solid at the back. At 21 years old, he is only just getting started. A £25m price tag is an absolute bargain.

Sergino Dest:

Barcelona have found themselves in a pit of debt recently, meaning that Arsenal could swoop in and steal a very talented full back. The 20 year old Dest was transferred from Ajax to Barcelona, where his minutes have wavered. Proving to be extremely prolific in attack, Dest’s dribbling ability allows him to cause a lot of harm to the opposition down the wing. This attacking ability does not come at the expense of his defence though, as he is capable of defending and winning the ball, especially in a 1v1 situation. There is definitely room for improvement. Valued at £35m (and possibly lower since Barcelona would be looking to make money), Dest would be a gamble, but a gamble that Arsenal should definitely take.

James Tavernier:

A lot of people will recognise this name from FIFA 21 but let’s look at his actual stats in real life. Last season in the Scottish Premier League the English RB boasted 12 goals and 9 assists last season. Now a considerable amount of his goals did come from penalties, however it proves him to be a prolific set piece taker – a role in which Arsenal do not yet have a designated suitor. The stats speak for his offensive ability, however Tavernier is also quite prolific defensively as well, helping Rangers keep 17 clean sheets last season. With a likely evaluation of around £30m, he is worth every penny.

Denzel Dumfries:

This man right here is the perfect fit for a Mikel Arteta team. At RB his pace and physicality makes him a terrific defender for PSV. These same qualities saw him strive for Netherlands in the Euros, where he constantly contributed to goals at RM. His defensive versatility also makes him capable of playing in CB. So whether Arteta wants an all-rounded RB, a solid CB in a 3-back or a RM/RWB in a 3 or 5-back, Dumfries is the guy he wants on the pitch. With an evaluation of a maximum of £40m, it is money well spent.

If there is only one person I could pick for this role, it is Denzel Dumfries.
