With just about a day left in the January transfer window, Arsenal are still at the center of a lot of transfer rumours and discussions. Let’s have a look at what business the Gunners could still get done before the transfer deadline passes.
INCOMINGS:
Moises Caicedo:

As soon as the news of Mohammed Elneny’s training injury broke, Arsenal have targeted the Ecuadorian after his breakout season at Brighton. After having a £60m bid rejected and a £70m bid immediately rejected, De Zerbi is insistent that he will not let the player go for anything short of Brighton’s £90m evaluation, according to multiple reports.
Jorginho:
Fabrizio Romano has recently revealed that Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Jorginho’s talents and could bring the Italian to the Emirates. Jorginho, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is seen by Arsenal as an alternative to Moises Caicedo and therefore shows similarities of how Arsenal signed Thomas Partey as an alternative to Houssem Aouar. It is understood that whether Caicedo is signed or not, the Gunners will still pursue Declan Rice in the post-season, making Jorginho a much more financially viable option.
Ivan Fresneda:
The 18 year old right back from Valladoid has attracted quite a bit of interest from the likes of Arsenal and Dortmund, however it looks all but decided that the Spaniard will stay at his club until the end of the season at least, as per Fabrizio Romano.
OUTGOINGS:
Marquinhos:
The Brazilian winger was brought to the Emirates at the start of the season and has featured in the Europa League. It is understood, through multiple reports, that the 19 year old is all-but-set to sign for Championship side Norwich on loan until the end of the season, with no option to buy.
Cedric Soares:
Cedric has barely featured this season for Arsenal and is therefore looking for minutes elsewhere. Fabrizio Romano states that Fulham are on the verge of acquiring the Portuguese’s talents on loan until the end of the season, no option to buy included and full salary coverage by Fulham.
With many uncertainties still looming over Arteta and Edu, it could shape up to be a very interesting deadline day.
