Arsenal have continued on with their busy transfer business by going in for another player who is known to many other big clubs.
Jurrien Timber has been linked with the Premier League’s ‘Big 6’ clubs for over a year now, as the Dutchman attracted plenty of interest from Manchester United as his former manager, Erik Ten Hag, moved to Manchester.
Now it’s Mikel Arteta’s turn – Arsenal have submitted a £30m bid for the 22 year old. Gunners fans were promised five incomings in this window and Arteta made it known that a defender would be one of them.
In order to move Ben White back to a primary centre back, Arteta was looking to bring in another play who could play both right back and centre back and has identified Timber as that man.
Boasting great aerial presence and discipline, Ajax are likely to ask for closer to £40m for Timber’s signature.
This is definitely an interesting one to look out for in the future. Gunners fans, how would you feel about signing Jurrien Timber?
